How it works

Fans rate the players after every Wrexham AFC match. No account, no app, about twenty seconds.

Rate from kickoff

Voting opens at kickoff, so you can rate as the game goes, and usually stays open until a day after the game, though some games get longer. The match page always shows the closing time, and the home page turns red while a vote is running.

Pick how you rate

Numbers out of ten, or Crap to Class. They sit on one scale and pool together, so use whichever you think in. The site remembers your choice.

3

Rate who you like

Drag across a player, or tap, to set his rating. In Crap to Class it's one tap. Rate one player or all of them: anyone you leave blank simply isn't counted.

Send it

The button tells you how many ratings are going in. Changed your mind? Send it again before voting closes and it replaces the first one.

Keep your season

Your season keeps every rating you give next to the crowd's: who you back, who you don't, where you're out on your own. Sign in with an email link if you want it kept across devices. It's optional.

The detail

Two ways in, one scale

A Good and a 7.5 count the same. The anchors are uneven on purpose: fans rarely use the bottom of a ten-point scale, and Crap in a pub means about a three, not a one.

From 14,329 ratings this season. Average so far: 5.5.

The verdict is a trimmed mean

For each player we set aside the top tenth and bottom tenth of ratings, then average the rest. That blunts the odd wind-up 1 or a mate's 10. It can't stop a determined, coordinated pile-on, and we'd rather say so. Under about fifty ratings the number is still noisy.

Man of the match

Nobody votes for it. It's whoever ends up with the highest verdict.

Spread

A 6.0 where everyone said 6 is a different story from a 6.0 split between 8s and 4s. Player pages show the spread for every game, and which performance divided the crowd most.

One ballot per browser

Send it again and it replaces the first. That deters double voting; it isn't a guarantee. Blank and skipped players count for nothing either way.
